About Siqiniup Qilauta
Siqiniup Qilauta does Inuit cultural performances that include: throat singing, drum dancing, singing traditional songs and they could also include fun Inuit games. When asked, the group does workshops pertaining to Inuit culture. The group likes to get the audience to help out with their performances, creating an interactive performance.

Group History
Siqiniup Qilauta has been actively performing as a group since 2001. They have performed nationally and internationally at various festivals, gatherings and events; which helped them in accomplishing into the serious performance group that they are today.

About the name, Siqiniup Qilauta
The name of the group, Siqiniup Qilauta roughly translates to The Sun's Drum. The name was influenced by an Inuit legend they heard about the sun. When the sun has a complete halo around it, it indicates good luck and the halo is meant to be a drum.
